Snow in the south is rarely so much and so beautiful. We had a couple days of snow with big flakes that covered the property quickly. The dogs played in it and so did we as everything closed for two days to allow temperatures to rise high enough to melt and not refreeze.

We stayed in, built a fire, and enjoyed some great company with our neighborhood friends. Tim and Charla always provide several fun stories and laughs while we sip bourbon and other spirits as the sun sets and the temperature drops. We are so happy to have such wonderful friends!

The fun continues as Emilie and Papa T headed out to Lake Murray ATV park to throw some mud. Though it was hot and the heat did cut the fun short, we had a great time hitting the trails and not scaring away from the big dips and hard leans. Em even took the wheel for a bit and tried her best to save the planet by picking up trash. However, her efforts ended soon after finding herself knee deep in a mud pit while picking up a single can. It was a good laugh and another reason to take a swim in the lake!

It only took about 5 years of looking, discussing and contemplating making the purchase of a vehicle she desires. Well, she finally did it and she didn’t compromise either. Bright Red, Two Door and Happiness money can’t buy! Enjoy this beautiful machine babe… you deserve it!

It was a little late, but we still celebrated Rusty’s birthday by pimpin’ some mud at Muddy Bottoms ATV Park. It is a terrific park and we all had a wonderful time. Heck, just check out the video on YouTube! Click Here The day started a bit rough as the trailer disconnected from my truck and I was lucky to have it follow me to a stop with the safety chains, though they were not connected any longer when we got out to check the situation. But we were back on the road 30 minutes later and stopped at a trailer shopped to weld on some new safety chains! All was good and celebrated in style with pudding shots, Moonshake shots, and enough beer to float an elephant… Cheers!

It was Easter at the Johnson Compound and the family was excited. Julie was so happy to have everyone out in the country. She had cooked a terrific meal of roast, chicken and dumplings, green beans, deviled eggs, and gooey cake. Emilie had made some broccoli bread and we all feasted! After, everyone took a ride on the four wheeler, hunted eggs, drew on the patio with chalk and enjoy laughing at all the excitement. It was a great day that we are thankful for and wishing everyone the same as we welcome spring weather!
